Visiting this location for this shot was an experience filled with anticipation and excitement. The beach, with its unique combination of rocky outcrops and sweeping ocean views, always promises something special. On this particular day, the sky was painted in hues of purple and pink as the sun set, creating a perfect backdrop for the long exposure I had in mind.
Setting up for a five-minute exposure was a meticulous process. I carefully positioned my camera to capture the shack and the rocky foreground, ensuring the composition would highlight the serene beauty of the scene. To balance the exposure, I used a graduated filter that allowed the rich colors of the sunset to saturate the sky while maintaining the details in the foreground.
As the camera's shutter remained open, I used a spotlight to gently illuminate the rocks and the shack, adding depth and texture to the image. The long exposure smoothed the ocean waves into a misty blanket, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere.
